Tell you what, I'm a little diffident about this. Bendis' dialogue coupled with Yu's drawings used to gave me headaches when I was reading NA, and here it's no different.
Also, doesn't seem like the story is moving forward with momentum. Usually, this means the story will dwell a lot on its premises and get to a hastily wrapped up ending.

South Park, uhm, I mean Hell's Kitchen! « Result #5 on Mar 5, 2008, 8:04am »
Based on characters created in South Park Studio (and then tweaked quite a bit in PhotoShop). While I'm at it, may I also shamelessly plug my new Daredevil blog, The Other Murdock Papers.

Okay, where are all the people on this board? Well, I'll keep posting. Here are three advance reviews of #105. The one by Dave Wallace has also been posted (by him) on MWOF, but the other two I found just surfing around. It looks like it's going to be one hell of a ride (pardon my French).

I have a question for you: Is it possible to get an email response everytime someone responds to a thread you've posted in?
I haven't found a way to do that on Proboards. It's a free board, and with cheap comes little in the way of amenities. I don't even think you can do it if you have a paid board on Proboards. I'll look into it.

Re: The other DD movie « Result #8 on Feb 24, 2008, 5:55pm »
I think I might post more on this later, but I saw this movie for the first time not too long ago. It's a little cheesy, but I quite liked it for what it was. The costume is a little weird, but I approved of the radar effect (cheap, but about the right amount of "crude," I thought). It's a bummer that Matt has an all-new cast around him compared to his usual line-up, but I think it works okay. I also kind of like the fact that they decided to skip the shades (not that I would suggest they do the same in the comics), since it's a little cliché. (Speaking of which, and off-topic, why on Earth does Milla wear sunglasses in bed?)
Re: Nocenti and Chichester commentary « Result #10 on Feb 24, 2008, 1:07pm »
I hadn't seen this before, so Thanks to Jumonji to refresh the topic!
It is indeed a fine, in-depth article: Nocenti's exploration of the DD/Bullseye relationship, and Chichester's orchestration of the Kingpin's fall are well analyzed.
I agree with the author that those who worship the short Smith/Quesada run which started Vol. 2 as "the one which returned Dd to greatness" is not true: daredevil had had great stories, and greater, by far, than Smith's bag of tricks and XF (like his Mysterio, I feel Smith stealed some "tricks" originally devised by others, to lesser effect).
OK, you know my opinion on "Guardian Devil"... I suppose I'm partial against it because of Karen Page and some people referring to it as the grandest Dd story ever. Still , I must say that i particularly gave a thumbs up when reading the following sentences in the article:
"it's a shame that fans seem to think that after "Born Again," the title went into hibernation until Kevin Smith and Joe Quesada showed up in 1998."
"The idea of forgiveness, and who forgives and whether those who are forgiven deserve it, has come up before, in Nocenti's treatment of Bullseye, and Chichester will return to it again. Matt's Catholicism is an interesting part of his character, and although occasionally a Catholic writer will pound us between the eyes with it (if you're thinking of Kevin Smith, so am I)"
